S’mores & Stories in Church Square Park!

August 13 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This Saturday the Hoboken Public Library, TAPInto Hoboken, and Hoboken Business Alliance will host a fun-filled evening with free s’mores and stories around a "campfire."

HOBOKEN, NJ — There’s nothing sweeter than s’mores on a summer night.

On Saturday, the Hoboken Public Library, Hoboken Business Alliance, and TAPInto Hoboken will host an evening filled with free s’mores and stories around the campfire.

The classic ooey-gooey campout treat made of graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate will be provided for free to all, however attendees should bring their own chairs or blankets to get comfortable on during story time.

The event — which is being held in honor of National S’mores Day — will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at Church Square Park.

“S’mores have always been a favorite summertime treat, and how better to enjoy them than as a community,” James Runkle, President of the Hoboken Business Alliance asked.

“Whether it’s in our local businesses or in our parks at the core of our mission is bringing people together, and that’s what we look forward to doing Saturday with our friends from the Hoboken Public Library and TAPinto Hoboken,” he said.

Mark Curiale, Hoboken Public Library’s marketing and communications manager, said, “Our number one goal is to bring a love of reading and learning to Hoboken, whether that happens in the library or in a park.”

“Reading takes you places,” Curial said. “And this Saturday it’s going to transport all in attendance to a campsite. No campsite is complete without s’mores!”
